The United Way of Greater Williamsburg held it's first annual poster contest focusing on the 2003 Campaign Theme "what matters . . Community Heroes"
This was a project in coordination with our 2003 “Day of Caring, Healing and Remembrance” which was held on September 11, 2003.
Posters were created by children 1st - 8th grade.
All entered posters were used on Day of Caring to decorate the entrance way of the thank you celebration/campaign kick off event in the evening. The six winning posters were framed and presented to the main sponsors for the evening program. 15 of the posters were framed and presented to the Pacesetter companies and the remaining posters will be used during campaign for awards to businesses to thank them for their support and to help promote the 2003 United Way Campaign. You may even see one or two of them pop up on the cover of the annual report, next years brochure, web page backgrounds, and more!
