The United Way of Greater Williamsburg (“UWGW”) is a 501c(3) tax exempt organization, tax ID #54-0844073, and is committed to respecting and preserving the privacy of all donors, including those who make pledges on the Internet. We do not retain the credit card or banking account information you supply during an online gift transaction. Rather, a unique transaction number is received from Authorize.Net and stored by UWGW for each online transaction.
All transaction information is digitally encrypted and sent to Authorize.Net, which verifies the transaction with the credit card company or financial institution as appropriate and transfers the specified funds from the VISA or MasterCard lender or financial institution to the banking merchant account established for online gifts to UWGW.
The information collected on this web site is not sold or supplied commercially. UWGW may provide information to you about UWGW and other UWGW activities.
Information required for the credit card or banking transaction is stored by Authorize.Net, and your credit card company or financial institution with strict policies for protecting privacy and maintaining security. UWGW encourages you read the privacy statement that appears on the Authorize.Net site as well.
