Busch Gardens/Water Country USA
Busch Gardens Employees Living United!
When it comes to being creative and thinking of new ways to get employees involved, Busch Gardens does a fantastic job. Two years ago, during their employee thank you event, they asked employees to bring a canned food item to donate to FISH, our local food pantry, and they devised a point scale for what different items were worth. Employees joined together as teams and bought in various different canned and non-perishable food items and those that remembered a can opener, got the most points - many clients who visit FISH often say they do not have a can opener, so by the end of the event, over 100 can openers were collected. This year, they held a silent auction, they collected many different items for the auction and during their campaign thank you event, they all enjoyed bidding on their favorite items in order to raise more money, above and beyond the employee pledges, to donate to United Way. Thank You Busch Gardens.
