    **24 more volunteers** needed to help clients complete “Flowers, Pens, & Pots project – 6:30pm.
  • Wed, 30 June, 7-9pm, Bowling, Williamsburg AMF Lanes, 5544 Olde Town Rd, Williamsburg 23188
    12 more volunteers
    needed to help 50 participants bowl three games, coordinate food service, escorts – 6:30pm.

EASTERN STATE HOSPITAL

Seeking mature adults for several placements at the Hospital including volunteers to be "guardians" to patients who are unable to make decisions for his/her care. This job does not require more than 12 hours (12 hours min. per year - more than that is up to you). You must get to know the patient, attend his/her Treatment Team meetings, makes decisions for the patient (with the assistance of a social worker) and sign paperwork. The process for being approved through the State Attorney General's office takes about one year.

Dream Catchers Therapeutic Riding Center

Volunteers 14 years and older are needed to help keep the riding center operating. They provide valuable assistance by helping with safety, horse handling, barn maintenance, and working with riders.

Williamsburg Aids Network

Offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including mailings, clerical work, providing out-reach materials to the community, participating in the agency's events.  Need committed volunteers who can work at least one half day a week, if not more.

JCC Office of Volunteer Services

To engage citizens in local government through volunteer opportunities that enhance services provided by county departments. Located in a variety of departments within the county government such as Parks and Recreation, Police and Fire Auxiliary, Social Services, Olde Towne Medical Center, etc.

APVA Preservation Virginia at Historic Jamestowne

Year-round adult volunteer opportunities at Historic Jamestowne as Jamestown Rediscovery interpreters or museum store assistants. Training in February.

Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation

Adults and youth volunteers, ages 11 and above, support the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation throughout the year in a variety of areas. Location Jamestown Settlement, Yorktown, Victory Center and various other locations

PKD Foundation

Chapter Volunteers are needed to help with one or more of the following: fundraising, media outreach, educating about PKD, securing corporate support and offering PKD patient support. We also need to recruit a Chapter Coordinator to help start and lead the Tidewater Chapter.

Sentara-Williamsburg Community Hospital

Students (junior ages 14 and up, college) adult and family volunteers support the hospital’s mission of “we continuously improve health in our community and the region we serve through teamwork and compassionate care.” The hospital also offers a summer youth volunteer program. Volunteers need references and annual tuberculosis test (hospital provides free). Parent/guardian permission required for youth volunteers. Fee Annual fee of $10 to join the Williamsburg Community Hospital Auxilary, there is no fee to join the volunteer team.

Volunteer opportunities in special projects, individual visits, group activities, transportation, leading activities, plus more. Students must be at least 16.

Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park
